Religious Maturity in Boarding School Students: The Effect on School Connectedness

- Abstract
It is essential to have a study on school connectedness of boarding school students. School connectedness is attributed to the students, sense of security, and the students’ comfort in school. This study aimed to determine the correlation between religious maturity and school connectedness of boarding school students. The sample was consisted of 131 male students and 39 female students on boarding school. Religious maturity and school connectedness scales were applied to collect the data. The study discovered that religious maturity was significantly correlated with school connectedness. Religious maturity contributed a positive impact on students. The students with high religious maturity tended to have good behavioral control. As a result, they would form a school connectedness. The curriculum in boarding school provided religious education consistently. Therefore, it became the basis of student behavior. Since, all religious beliefs always teach the people to do good deed.
