- Abstract
The purpose of the present article is to explore and transform science into Islamic education system comprehensively, especially to improve the implementation of assessment portfolio in Islamic institution. This study is done using a case study approach. Data collection is derived through questionnaire, participatory observation, interview, and documentation. The implementation of portfolio assessment in regards to teachers had some interesting findings. The study found that there are two problems in portofolio assessment. First, systemic problems that occur in whole aspects, indicators, and criteria of portfolio assessment that actually should consistently be implemented by students. Second, technical problems such as teacher performance and creativity using various techniques and media in Islamic learning.
