- Abstract
Directory synchronization in distributed environment means making the directories specified in multiple computers under different network to achieve the consistent state. When implement the directory synchronization, there are several changes including concurrent writing from multi-nodes, nodes join and leave frequently and the efficient data transmission. In order to satisfy the high availability, optimistic algorithm is adopted in building distributed system in WAN. Vector Clock algorithm is commonly used in optimistic algorithm to detect confliction, but it`s too complex and lack of flexibility for the join and leave of nodes. An improved algorithm has been announced to resolve the problems for master-slave synchronization mode in the paper. CDC algorithm has been combined into directory synchronization to eliminate redundancy within files. Finally, some rules of conflict resolution have been applied in the paper.
