- Abstract
Polycrystalline samples Li0.35Zn0.3Fe2.35-xGdxO4 (x=0,0.02,0.04,0.06,0.08,0.10) were prepared by sol-gel auto-combustion method.The XRD analysis shows that the samples are cubic spinel ferrite, the lattice parameter increased and the average grain size decreased with Gd3+ ions concentration increasing.The quadrupole splitting reflects the degree of charge deviating from the symmetrical distribution of local area around the M"ssbauer nuclear Fe3+. So theÿcharge around the Fe3+ tends to symmetrical distribution in this serie of samples, and the distribution is almost not affected by the Gd3+ doping.
