Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate and assess, within the framework of SMEs Roti Maros in Makassar, the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on organizational performance through innovation capabilities. In order to collect data for this study, surveys and interviews were used in conjunction with questionnaires. The Partial Least Square (PLS) technique was employed in the structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis of the research data. Ten SMEs served as both the population and sample. Additionally, 31 respondents—a combination of managers and owners—were used. This study demonstrated that: (1) entrepreneurial orientation directly and significantly improved innovation capability as indicated by a p-value of less than 0.000; and (2) entrepreneurial orientation directly and significantly improved organizational performance as indicated by a p-value less than 0.000. (3) Based on a p-value of less than 0.000, innovation capability directly and significantly improves organizational performance; (4) Through innovation capability, entrepreneurial orientation significantly improves performance, as indicated by a p-value of 0.006.
