- Abstract
The article deals with the problem of universality of sound symbolism. It aims to give a comprehensive account of theoretical and experimental research of iconicity within separate languages as well as cross-linguistic sound symbolism. The work provides results of psychological and psycholinguistic research into the phenomenon of sound symbolism.
