- Abstract
Since the Reform and Opening started in 40 years ago, China has made great achievements in many fields of society, especially in the economic field. However, Japan's Epoch Times has completely distorted the facts, not only discrediting the great achievements of the Chinese people in the past 40 years of Reform and Opening, but also giving far-fetched reasons that are completely illogical. This is a typical communication dilemma under the “Truth Decay”. This paper refutes the reports of Japanese media and draws the following conclusions: first, different economic system contents have different social and political meanings. The problems encountered in the process of reform and opening up do not mean the failure of reform and opening up itself or the existence of problems. Second, China's enormous economic achievements in the past 40 years of Reform and Opening cannot be separated from the driving force behind them, namely, political reform. Political reform and economic development go hand in hand, and only when the productive forces and relations of production are in line can such great achievements be made. Third, the Japanese media ignored the international situation at that time. At the same time, the forces behind the Japanese media tried to distort the reports to achieve their own purposes.
