- Abstract
In recent years, ground vibration caused by rail transportation has attracted widespread attention, while researches on trains moving along a curve are still limited. To deal with this issue, a curved 2.5D finite element/infinite element approach in the cylindrical coordinate system is proposed to simulate the soil subjected to the moving load on a curved path. Through comparisons with an analytical approach, the proposed model is validated. Some interesting dynamic phenomena of the soil system under the action of curved-path moving load are also found through numerical analyses.
