Abstract

In order to meet the needs of more and more badminton enthusiasts to participate in the amateur badminton training and better develop amateur badminton sports in Chengdu, questionnaire survey, literature, mathematical statistics, logic reasoning and expert interviews were employed to study the current situation of amateur badminton training market in Chengdu. The results show that amateur badminton training institutions in Chengdu, generally, are on a small scale and coaches, although from extensive sources, are universally subjected to lack of experience; consumers’ own conditions vary and their training time is short; training markets take on growing trend; the total sports material consumption grows but its consumption ratio appears a downward trend and consumer groups have the trend of fashion and diversified consumption purposes. The results of this study have a certain reference value for promoting healthy development of amateur badminton training market in Chengdu.
