- Abstract
Economic behavior leads to the formation of an entrepreneurial spirit. In junior high school, economics is taught and integrated with Social Sciences so that it is thematic and can be the basis for the formation of the entrepreneurial spirit of a student. This study aimed to describe whether thematic economics learning integrated with social studies learning can shape the economic behavior of students and grow their entrepreneurial spirit. This research was conducted on junior high school students in Banyuresmi District with 50 research samples. The results showed that the Social Studies (Economics) Thematic Study significantly affected students’ economic behavior by as much as 62.3% and impacted the growth of students’ entrepreneurial spirit by 35.7%. This shows that the economic thematic content in the integrated social studies book influences students’ behavior and entrepreneurial spirit. This must also be encouraged by teachers’ creativity in teaching thematic economics so that students’ entrepreneurial spirit will grow in the future.
