Abstract

This paper presents results of research aimed at accent elimination in students of the Russian philology from northeastern Podlaskie Voivodeship – a region on the Polish-Belarusian border. With cross-linguistic and intra-linguistic influence, linguistic competence development in phonetics for all groups of bilinguals is a precondition for successful learning of Russian as a foreign language.
