Abstract

The number and structure of female labor force in China is changing due to the reasons of economy, policy, history and other factors. The female labor force participation rate of China is declining continuously through the qualitative research of the variation trend and periodic law of the female labor force participation rate of China and the comparison with the female labor force participation rate of America and Japan. This trend is not conductive to the sustained economic growth and social stability, so government should take appropriate measures to maintain a reasonable female labor force participation rate.
