Abstract

Competitive bidding is widely used in international equipment procurements and construction projects for the moment. With the development of market economy in our country, competitive bidding is introduced in various industries, especially popular in the large-scale construction projects and government procurements. Thus the bidding theory becomes the focus of enterprises’ decision-making. In this paper, the competitive bidding with a stochastic number of bidders is considered. Under the symmetric situation of bid the paper gets a quotation equation and then provides a new solution based on genetic algorithm.
