- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to carry out linguistic and cultural analysis of understanding as a process and result of intercultural communication in the unity of its phenomenological and procedural components. The object of the research is communicative interaction in the modern information society in the context of interaction and understanding. It is suggested that understanding is not just a comprehension of meaning, but a dynamic system with an operational structure. Attempts are made to comprehend the mechanism of understanding, to highlight its levels, to determine the ways of structuring the understood object. Applications of this study: Theory of Language, intercultural communication, Social Economics, Psycholinguistics, Philosophy, Psychology.
