- Abstract
This study aims to describe the role and function of teachers in enhancing effective learning, inhibiting factors and solutions to teacher barriers in carrying out the roles and functions of teachers at the Elementary School of Santa Maria 2 Malang (SDK Santa Maria 2 Malang). This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the teacher’s function in the classroom is following Law Number 14 the Year 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers. Which is mentioned that the teacher is a professional educator with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, evaluating, and evaluating students in early childhood education informal education, basic education, and secondary education.
