Abstract

The pore and fissure of coal directly affect the occurrence and seepage of gas. Therefore, it coal seam methane should be developed for utilization and gas control. In this study, characterization methods for coal fractures are introduced on the basis of extensive literature research. They are usually divided into observation and physical test methods, and their principle and research status of each method are reviewed in detail. The application of CT three-dimensional reconstruction and fractal dimension in the physical progress of digital rock is also presented.
