Abstract

This article describes the experience of applying the Geological Strength Index (GSI) methodical approach for determining the strength characteristics of flysch masses of the Northwest Caucasus during the construction of technological tunnel. The results of the work are given according to the ranked system and the selected indexes are validated. The article also describes the possible types of deformations of the structure.
