Abstract

The paper is devoted to the disclosure of the symbolic nature of the philosophical and cultural views of P.A. Florensky, identifying the genesis and essence of the phenomenon of genuine culture, analyzing the nature of the relationship of "culture" and "nature." In the course of the study, the authors conclude that P.A. Florensky's worldview is quite reasonably called symbolism, since the philosopher emphasizes the symbolic character of the name and, together with the symbolists, emphasizes the theurgic nature of art and generally orients the philosophy towards the revival of theurgy.
