Abstract

Fabric is the carrier of costume art. With the requirement of sustainable development of industry, environmental protection design is on the stage. The article takes the design of apparel fabric reconstruction as the research object, summarizes and analyzes the design methods of existing works with the methods of image visual, reading and comparative study, proposes the “weaving and mending” environmental protection art creation method, and analyzes the classic cases of domestic and foreign designers using this method for apparel fabric innovation in recent years. The research results can provide a source of inspiration for the design of garment accessories and a reference for the study of traditional fabrics in China.
