- Abstract
The building structural damage model is a mathematical model whose primary purpose is to assess the damage to building structures or components under external effects such as earthquakes. Over the past decades, scholars in earthquake engineering have researched building structural damage models and proposed structural damage models based on different levels and perspectives. This paper systematically reviews and summarizes the research progress of two-parameter structural damage models at the component and structural levels. It analyzes and improves the existing two-parameter structural damage models for their deficiencies to provide helpful guidance and inspiration for future two-parameter damage modeling research and engineering applications.
