- Abstract
From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, the cultural phenomenon of characters behind the nickname of the republic of China and analyze the connotation of the humanities, found the character of the republic of nicknames in the process of cognition, be given special cultural connotation, progressive which reflect the interaction between the nickname and the social culture, namely the cultural blend between east and west, old and new concepts of collision and fusion, the gender culture of wrangling in parallel. Through the excavation and sorting of metaphor and metonymy, it is found that the expression of their naming cognition is rooted in the soil of Chinese culture, and at the same time deeply baptized by western culture, and then it has gradually become a linguistic and cultural phenomenon needing urgent attention.
