Abstract

The interpretation of photographic works depends to a certain extent on personal aesthetics and understanding. To analyze the works more objectively and calmly, we often need to combine relevant backgrounds. However, most of the relevant backgrounds we have encountered are “texts” that have been subjectively processed by others, and it is difficult for such interpretations to have some new perspectives and characteristics. Therefore, we need to get rid of the shackles, focus on the “article” itself, and use the theory of intertextuality to obtain a new interpretation perspective of “The Americans”.
