Abstract

The paper is devoted to the development of specialized software for simulating the electrodynamic processes in induction motors. This software includes both the graphical interface and the computational modules based on quasi-3D finite element modeling of electrodynamic processes as well as 3D finite element modeling of the magnetic field in order to take into account the end-zones influence on the values of the magnetic fluxes and rotating torque. The numerical data are compared with the experimental data. The results of the simulation of transport vehicle acceleration for different modes are presented. The proposed software allows the engineers to perform the quasi-3D modeling of electrodynamic processes in the induction motor even if they are not experts in numerical methods.The paper is devoted to the development of specialized software for simulating the electrodynamic processes in induction motors.
