- Abstract
The article considers the historical industrial architecture of the second half of the 19th and the early 20th centuries on the territory of the Volgograd region. Analysis and systematization of the identified information about the construction of industrial facilities (both existing and lost), the use of visual and cartographic material, and field surveys allowed classifying the main types of industrial buildings of the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the region of consideration. There was identified the degree of preservation of industrial heritage sites and proposed ways to transform them for modern. The article provides archival and field illustrative materials.
