- Abstract
The article investigates the problem of searching for the “national style” in the architecture of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic. The contradiction between the search for national identity in the architecture of the republic and the international style in the USSR architecture of the “Thaw” era is studied through the example of the reaction of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic professional architectural community.
