- Abstract
QFD is a system to convert customer expectations to fit the relevant requirements of an industry at each stage of the product development from the research stage through design and production to sales. This study uses QFD approach to determine the requirements for biologically active additives, popular with international customers. The seven principal categories of customer requirements assessment regarding biologically active additives have been identified: functional orientation, consistency, odor, shape, price, manufacturer, safety and efficacy. The research of design and engineering showed that the "type of packaging" has a weak association with the "mass of soluble solids" and a strong association with "shelf life". The corresponding importance of technical specifications and their correlation are evaluated to develop the most effective business strategy. The findings are discussed in terms of the production value.
