Abstract

High-resolution remote sensing images includes high spectral resolution remote sensing images, high spatial resolution remote sensing images, high temporal resolution remote sensing images and so on. Based on the physical properties and functions, there are six road features: spectral feature, textural feature, geometric feature, topological feature, contextual feature and multi-scale feature, which have more information and research value in high-resolution remote sensing images. Starting from these features, the road extraction methods are analyzed and classified, then, the evaluation method and indicators for road extraction are introduced, the difficulties of road extraction from high-resolution remote sensing images are analyzed, and the trend of the research field is forecast in the end.
