- Abstract
The using of learning blog-based for metaphor translation study on drama script in National University Jakarta that purpose to help students by using blog in the form of an onlinedictionary to translate the metaphor on drama script. Basically, translating the metaphor is not easy, because metaphor is a figurative language that states something is not the same comparison that refers to two meanings either explicitly or implicitly. Drama script as a source of data by students of English literature in this study because many found sentences that contain an interesting metaphor to be analyzed and translated. Besides of that, to know the kinds of metaphor found in drama script. On the basis of that then this study is interesting to be discussed. The methodology of this study is a qualitative descriptive based on an evaluation technique refers to class action research. So, the result of classification of metaphor translation found. Then, it compiled an online dictionary based e-learning blog that useful for students of language and literature faculty and the linguists to find out the metaphor vocabularies is often used on drama script. This dictionary also can be used as a learning media especially for the subject of poetry, drama and also prose.
