- Abstract
Library instruction is a critical process to introduce the library to users. This process explains the activities in the library that are sourced from the librarian. Therefore, librarians who become tutors in library instruction must have special competence, not only knowledge in the field of libraries but also knowledge about teaching. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 16 of 2007 concerning Standards for Academic Qualifications and Teacher Competencies, there are four basics in teaching competence: pedagogical, personality, social, professional, and methodological competence.
