Abstract

Key frame extraction is an essential technology of content-based video retrieval and directly influences the retrieval efficiency. In this paper, an integrated key frame extraction method is presented. Firstly, we get three candidate key frames by shot boundary and visual content based method . Then, compare the similarity of histogram between candidate forums. Finally, we extract key frames by proposing rules. Experimental results illustrate the proposed method is feasible and efficient.
